It is advisable to make reservations in advance if possible.

Normally you will not need a hotel room, but if you bring additional family or children that cannot stay at the hospital, the La Mansion Hotel is a very nice hotel just down the road from the hospital, used by several patients with very good reviews so far.  The manager and several employees speak English.  Can use cash or US funds to pay.  The rate is around $50 per night at this time.
